Learn How To Defend Yourself And Loved Ones Quickly
Self Defence for Absolute beginners
This course starts from the very beginning. I always use this saying “when you’ve been punched or caught off guard, all your fancy techniques can go out of the window”.
This is why the basics are so important.
Hitting your opponent is one of the easiest things to do when being attacked. This can also be done without really thinking. With the correct training you will be able to hit someone once, in the correct place and get away safely.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter how good you are or how many black belts you have. The attacker doesn’t care. If they want to attack you then they will. I know a few Martial Artist that have been attacked and beaten up. All because they didn’t keep the basics sharpe. One fact to remember, a real fight is different from training. There are safety rules when training. The streets don’t have rules.
In the real world most fights start with someone getting punched in the face. It is the most common attack. If you go onto YouTube and watch real street fight videos. Most of them start with someone getting punched. There are not many videos of people defending themselves against this attack.
Now, I want to show you some very basic yet very effective techniques. This stuff is definitely more inportant than all the fancy stuff.
This training will teach you basic Self Defence skills and really boost your confidence.

Foot work is extremely important. If this is wrong, everything else is wrong. It has to be perfect. I will explain everything you need to know about correct footwork and movement.

Head Movements

“"I've learnt so much from Dave over the last few years, I feel more confident from his teaching, not just in case something happened as that confidence bleeds into all aspects of life. I couldn't recommend Dave enough, he is a natural teacher and also makes every class a joy and relaxed place to be. ”
“I am a retired police and during my career I took various self defence courses I was also trained in the use of speed cuffs and the side handled baton/metal extending baton I took a security SIA course which included self defence methods in 2020. However I started a beginners course in self defence on line with Dave putnam and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the techniques to defend the face and sides of the head. The offensive moves are also very well explained and visually demonstrated with the emphasis on practising the strikes and the importance of balance /good footwork. A value for money course. ”
“Having trained with Dave on and off for nearly 3 years (thank you Covid), I can tell you all that he knows his stuff! My body is stronger, my reactions quicker and I can't wait to potentially train others in the future!”
“dave came and did an amazing group session for us to teach some brilliant self defence techniques. It was great what we learnt in 2 hours and I felt more confident I could use a simple technique to protect myself if I was attacked. I would highly recommend him for both his extensive knowledge and his brilliant teaching manner.”
“As a family we learn this together and at our own pace, my children love it and are 9 (girl) 12 (boy) It's great exercise too, the way the world is today I'm glad my children have been given this opportunity to learn how to defend themselves properly. Twin girls (20 months) also get involved”
